Part 2 / Part 3 Architectural Assistant:

£competitive, 28 days annual leave

Vessel Architects are seeking a talented and experienced Part 2 / Part 3 Architectural Assistant to join our Plymouth based studio. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team, on a varied portfolio of bespoke residential projects.

The position is well suited to a confident and capable professional with strong design and technical skills. Candidates will take responsibility for defined project packages and contribute positively to the wider studio. You will be involved across all RIBA work stages, from concept design through to on-site delivery, working closely with consultants and clients.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum RIBA Part 2 qualification (or equivalent) or Junior Architect (Recently qualified Part 3)
• 2-3 years post-Part 2 experience within a UK architectural practice or 1 year post-Part 3
• Experience of working on bespoke residential projects, one off homes and listed buildings
• Strong design and technical ability, with excellent attention to detail
• Good presentation skills, using a range of graphical and visualisation techniques (Adobe suite, sketching, diagramming and physical modelmaking)
• Proven experience delivering residential projects across all RIBA work stages
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD and Twinmotion
• Good working knowledge of UK planning policy (specifically national parks and landscapes), building regulations and CDM roles
• Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple projects
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
