Every project is different, and the right approach depends on your property, aspirations, budget and the opportunities and constraints of the site. Our role is to help you understand what is possible, develop the right approach and guide you through the process from beginning to end. Whether you're considering a barn conversion, a new home, a listed building or a rural development, we'll work with you to navigate the planning, design and construction process. STAGE ONE:
Initial consultation
As residential architects working across Devon and Cornwall, we know successful buildings rely on clear communication and a solid understanding of our clients' needs. We work closely with our clients to develop a brief that is realistic and viable – conceptually, technically and financially.
Every project and every client is unique. The landscapes of Devon and Cornwall are varied, rich and interesting, so our services are flexible and tailored to your needs. Historical context, sensitivity of the site, design ambition and budget all play a role in determining the level of service we provide.
Whether you're considering a barn conversion, new home, replacement dwelling or rural development, we can help you understand what is possible and identify the right approach for your project. Our experience also includes working with listed buildings, conservation settings, agricultural buildings and sensitive rural sites.

Stage Two:
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Our design information is clear and accessible to aid client engagement with the process. We utilise 3D digital software to develop our schemes in addition to sketching, diagramming and modelling by hand. We produce emotive digital renders to aid visualisation and work hard as a team to communicate ideas succinctly across all work stages.
As RIBA Chartered Architects, we are experienced in designing and detailing bespoke buildings, priding ourselves on the quality of information we produce – right down to bespoke joinery solutions and specification of hardware, sanitary fittings, light switches and soft furnishings.
Whether working with an existing building or developing a new home, we consider the character of the property, its setting and the wider context throughout the design process. This is particularly important when working with listed buildings, conservation settings, rural properties and projects within Dartmoor National Park.
As a small, personable practice, we maintain close relationships with consultants, contractors and makers who we can rely on to deliver quality and value for your project.

STAGE THREE:
DELIVERY
We are with you at every stage of the project until final completion. Collaboration runs through the heart of our process, working closely with contractors, builders, consultants and craftspeople to deliver your vision on site.
We understand that your project represents a significant financial and emotional investment, and we are here to support you every step of the way. We aim to go above and beyond for our clients by advising on reputable local contractors, managing the tendering process, providing site supervision and administering the building contract throughout construction.
Our involvement on site allows us to understand, control and monitor things like phasing, programme and quality, as well as working with you to resolve site-specific details or variations as they invariably arise – helping to deliver your vision on time and within budget.
Our involvement can be tailored to your project, from planning and design through to construction and completion. Whether you're developing a new home, converting an agricultural building or working with a listed or historic property, we remain focused on providing clear advice and practical support throughout the process.
