Planning Approved, South Hams
We’re delighted to share that planning permission has been approved for our new rural home at Combe Park Farm, South Hams.
The proposal reimagines an existing agricultural barn as a highly sustainable, timber-framed lifetime dwelling, carefully designed to reflect the character of its surroundings. Drawing on local vernacular materials such as natural stone, slate roofing and zinc cladding, the scheme maintains a strong agricultural identity while introducing a refined, contemporary approach.
The approved design retains a footprint similar to the existing pole-barn. A modest annex has also been included to support multi-generational living, designed as a subservient addition to the main dwelling.
Sustainability has been central to the design, with integrated solar panels, thoughtful orientation, and meeting new M5 carbon policy requirements. The layout has been developed to meet modern accessibility standards, ensuring the home is adaptable for long-term use.
We’re excited to see this carefully considered scheme move forward and look forward to the next stage of bringing it to life.
